  • The vehicle-to-roadside 4.9GHz communication network was one of the first deployments of an Intelli-Drive communication network in the US

  • Reduces transit travel times and keeps people moving quickly in these heavily used transit corridors

Our Work

  • Provided ITS design for the A, B, C, and F-Lines and station electrical design for the B, C, D, E, and F-Line corridors

  • ITS design included over 30 miles of fiber optic communications and RapidRide communications hardware at over 100 traffic signals

  • Designed a transit signal priority and passenger information system that communicates on a 4.9GHz wireless Ethernet platform

  • Coordinated with the cities of Federal Way, Des Moines, Kent, SeaTac, Tukwila, Burien, Renton, Shoreline and Seattle on communication installation and electrical design

  • Completed the implementation of new coordinated signal timing and transit signal priority time for the A and B-Lines, which required hands-on integration work with the Econolite ASC2 and ASC3 software and the Siemens SEPAC and NextPhase software
