Provides median parking with easy to move planters and the fleixibilty to be able to remove anything in the street to provide space for festivals
Our Work
Worked with the city of Spokane Planning Department to incorporate their concept of median parking with easy to move planters and a midblock crosswalk along with curb extensions
Islands were constructed with pinned curbs with portable planters so they can be readily removed for street festivals
The final design was functional providing an immediate benefit of shortening crossing lengths for pedestrians and slowing vehicle speeds
