Elk Grove-Rancho Cordova-El Dorado Connector Outreach
DKS Associates was prime consultant to SACOG for this project, with subconsultants The Hoyt Company and LandPeople. The goals for the study were to work with a wide array of stakeholders in the Connector corridor to define the purpose and need for the Connector, and to develop a set of conceptual alternatives which would be the subject of further study and environmental analysis. A Stakeholder Advisory Committee including representatives of over 50 community, business, environmental, civic, and farm organizations was formed, and a series of five workshop-style meetings were held. The workshops were designed to elicit input on stakeholder concerns about mobility in the corridor, expected benefits of the Connector, and preferences on project features. In addition to the transportation features of the project, the Connector is intended to include open space preservation features. The results of this outreach were documented thoroughly in a study report along with recommendations on next steps. The report was presented to the SACOG Board of Directors in Fall 2004.

PACIFIC GENESIS SELECTED BY THE U. S. TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO STUDY MAJOR ENERGY AND TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS IN LATIN AMERICA
The United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) engaged Pacific Genesis for a second time to conduct an in-depth study and coordinate a Technical Symposium highlighting transportation and energy projects financed by Multilateral Development Banks, including the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, and the Andean Development Corporation. Pacific Genesis researched and validated projects and secured key project decision makers to participate in the two-day conference, held in Washington, D.C. in March, 2006. The conference featured one-on-one private meetings for attendees with the key decision makers involved in the projects. The study and conference featured 40 projects that represented near-term export opportunities for U.S. companies, with an estimated total value in excess of $1 billion. Pacific Genesis provided up-to-date project status, procurement needs, and project contacts. The research was profiled in a briefing book presented at the conference. Representatives of Latin American government executing agencies and bank officials presented their projects and met privately, one-on-one with U.S. companies. The format provided U.S. firms with the opportunity to introduce their products and services directly to the principal decision makers and to develop direct relationships.
